Festival must haves.

With all of these amazing festivals coming up here in SA, it's important to have that perfect festival look, so here are some looks that i absolutely love and that i hope you love too.

Basically my idea of a festival look is those 60's hippy retro inspired pieces. Bright colours and patterns are great for a festival, highwaisted shorts and bustiers are also a favorite. flowy loose tops are also a must have. What i love about this look is the whole freedom of expressing colour, pattern and your own interpretation of this style, in the outfit. In terms of accessories, big sunglasses, fringed bags and a cute flower head band bring it all together.

Trending: Vintage

This is another great trend, Vintage never goes out of style. looking at these pictures there are some staple items like lace, vintage denim jackets, leather bags and backpacks, and of course the vintage sunnies. what i love about vintage is that it is a very feminine style, the lacey dresses and skirts are just so dainty and cute. soft neutral and pastel colours are just perfect to get that "just stepped out of an old movie" look. although most of the looks consist of dresses and skirts, i decided to throw in the last picture to, once again show how a different version of the style, unfortunately though vintage is quite specific so be careful when making it your own, don't be afraid to throw in your own style though. Floral patterns, jumpsuits, play-suits and highwaisted anything are also very vintage. Remember vintage doesn't go out of style, so keep some of those out of season pieces, you never know when it might come back in style. With this trend, stealing some stuff from your parents closets is a A-okay ;)

Trending: Grunge

Grunge style has exploded onto the fashion scene lately, its all about shorts, leggings, ankle boots (Dr Martens are a fave),  band tee's, over-sized sweaters, plaid shirts, beanies and anything well grunge.
i am absolutely loving this style! especially for Autumn and the upcoming winter here in SA, there are many different "versions" of grunge, some are a little lighter and can be incorporated into a spring wardrobe, it all depends on how grunge you really want to look, it's a trend that basically everyone can wear. defiantly a trend worth trying!
